Strengthening frontline operations and enhancing public safety
Kenya Wildlife Service (KWS) is committed to protecting wildlife, people, and property while delivering safe and memorable experiences for all our visitors. In line with our mission and strategic goal of rapid response to incidents, KWS has established specialized units that strengthen frontline operations and enhance public safety across all protected areas.
These include the Canine Unit, Problem Animal Management Unit, and the Mountain Search and Rescue Team. Each unit is highly trained, well-equipped, and on 24-hour standby to respond swiftly to emergencies, human–wildlife conflict situations, and search and rescue operations requiring urgent attention.
Your safety is our priority. Whether you are visiting a national park, reserve, training facility, or any KWS premises, you can be assured of a professional, coordinated, and rapid response whenever needed. With KWS, you are free to explore, connect with nature, and enjoy your experience with confidence and peace of mind
