In line with our commitment to mentoring the youth, the KWS Veterinary Department recently hosted final-year students from Egerton University for an immersive learning experience.

The Veterinary Medicine and Biochemistry students were given a rare, behind-the-scenes look at wildlife veterinary practice. They engaged with our experienced practitioners, gaining insight into the realities of the field—from high-pressure emergency responses to the scientific foundations of conservation medicine.

A key highlight was a tour of the KWS Forensic Laboratory, the only facility of its kind in East Africa. The visit showcased the critical role of advanced scientific analysis in combating wildlife crime and strengthening conservation law enforcement.

Through these interactions, we continue to invest in education, innovation, and the future of wildlife conservation.
